Courtney Elizabeth Whitmore ,alias Stargirl (often called “Stars” or “Star”),is fictional superhero creation of Geoff Johans and Lee Moder who appears in American Comics Books published by DC Comics.
The character name, persona and appearance were inherited by John’s sister Courtney, who was killed in TWA Flight in 1996.
Courtney Whitmore originally known as Second Star-Spangled Kid, but she was later known as “Stargirl” after she was gifted with Cosmic Staff by Jack Knight.
Stargirl appeared in Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Justice League Action, and Young Justice.
